Avon Unit
Boys & Girls Club of the Missouri River Area, Avon Extension, is an after school program designed to provide safe, educationally enriching, quality programs for children in 1st through 12th grade 3 hours a day, 5 days a week for 9 months when adult supervision may not be available.
Quality: Our Avon Unit staff members are experienced in the area of youth development. All staff members are background checked and trained annually in a variety of important areas including Youth Development, CPR, and First Aid.
Activities: Program and activities are provided in our five Core program areas, Character & Leadership, Education & Career, Health & Life Skills, The Arts, Sports, Fitness & Recreation. This program is conducted and planned by a staff trained to meet the needs of children and provide positive adult role models.
Location: The Avon Unit is a dedicated facility located in the American Legion Hall one block west of Ron’s Market.
Hours: School Year: Monday—Friday 3:00 pm - 6:00pm

Membership fees for the 2010-11 year are:
Half the membership fee is due up front (August 17/18), with the balance due January 4, 2011. Membership is available to all children in the community between the 1st and 12th grades.
