Welcome to the Boys & Girls Club of the Missouri River Area
Yankton Before/After School Program
Boys & Girls Club of the Missouri River Area, Before/After School Program, is designed to provide safe, educationally enriching, quality care for children in kindergarten through 5th grade during the hours before and after school, and all day during the summer, when adult supervision may not be available.
Mission Statement: "To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens."
Quality Care: Our staff members are experienced in the area of child care and are required to maintain current levels of training every year. Staff members are trained in a variety of important areas including Child Development, CPR, and First Aid.
Activities: The program includes crafts, games and sports, music and art, and many other creative and cultural activities. This program is conducted and planned by a staff trained to meet the needs of children and provide positive adult role models.
Locations: Site at each elementary school in the City of Yankton: Beadle, Lincoln, Stewart, Webster and Sacred Heart Elementary.
Affordability: A state licensed, non-profit organization that meets all applicable standards for a daycare center. Fees are structured only to meet expenses, not produce profits. We are an attendance based billing program, so you only pay for days attended. Regular, reduced and free lunch pay rates are available (verification of eligibility required).
Established: The Just for Kids program was established in 1998 in Yankton, SD to serve the needs of the elementary students before and after school. In 2000, the program expanded it's services by offering an all day summer program. In 2007, the JFK Board of Directors signed a cooperative agreement with the Boys & Girls Club of the Yankton Sioux in order to enhance the services provided by the program.
